How To Create a Mix and Match Wardrobe for Your Kids

With kids growing out of their clothes in a matter of months it can be tricky to know what to buy them. There’s so much choice and whilst you want them to look on trend you don’t want to break the bank at the same time.

A mix and match wardrobe is the answer for all you Mums and Dads who want to watch your budget whilst still having a wide collection of fashionable clothes to choose from. Here are some tips to help you to create a mix and match wardrobe.

1. Solid Colours

The best place to start when creating your mix and match wardrobe is to first build up a collection of solid coloured clothing. Having solid colour options makes it easier to build outfits as they work well together, they even work well with patterns too! Keep your colour palette basic so you know you have plenty to choose from when your dressing your little one.

2. Clothing Bundles

Many of the high street retailers now provide bundle collections of clothing, many of which are already coordinated to be mix and matched. With your collection of solid coloured items you know you have options to mix and match with them too! Try to stock up at the start of the season so you’ve got plenty to choose from for the next couple of months. Another tip to build your wardrobe on a budget is to look for offers like buy 3 for the price of 2.

3. Accessories

To complete your outfits why not introduce accessories? Look for inexpensive objects like hats, belts, bows and headbands that will work with your new mix and match wardrobe to add that extra little bit of style to your child’s outfit.
